You've got your first picture-book published, and now your publisher wants you to go out to festivals, schools and stores to meet the children and promote the book.

Yikes!

Fear not, author-illustrator Alice Tait has done many events, from shops and schools to museums and libraries. Alice can help you create an engaging and memorable event plan, specifically to promote your new book.

Over a one-hour session Alice will cover:

  1. How to create an event that celebrates YOUR book.
  2. How to break your book into timed segments for the event.
  3. Ideas to engage the children - Alice can suggest activities specific to your story.
  4. Ideas for a large-scale drawing.
  5. Ideas for worksheets for the children to take home.
  6. Guidance on encouraging parents and carers to buy your book on the day.
  7. Tips relating to timing, ensuring your book is available to buy on the day and being prepared for every eventuality!

The session is free-flow and will be tailored to your own needs. By the end of the session we will have mapped out a plan for your Kid's Event. If you would like Alice to review your event plans or materials after the session, a follow up session can be booked.
